You would like to make a loud statement about yourself or just realize that you are losing customers and want to correct the situation? Then this article is for you.

There are several components of a successful business in this area: an experienced manager, a creative promoter and, of course, the technical equipment of the institution. You may disagree, but statistics show that light and sound equipment plays one of the most important roles in club activity. In this article we will talk about the lighting equipment of the entertainment facility.

So, what parameters should be taken into account when choosing lighting equipment:

• • The area of the room and the area of the tazpol separately, as well as their architecture;
  • The height of the ceilings (both dance floor and the whole room as a whole);
  • Predicted number of visitors (maximum value);
  • The presence of a separate stage from the dance floor, as well as dedicated support points (go-go, striptease, etc.);

  • Method of controlling the equipment set;
  • The degree of illumination of the object at different times of the day;

This is the most basic thing you need to know in order to choose the right lighting effects. There are a lot of other less important parameters, but we will not consider them now.

If the initial parameters in most cases can not be changed, then all lighting equipment is selected given these parameters. Let’s consider the main types of light devices:

Scanner. The name of the device speaks for itself, the principle of its operation is arranged in one phrase: scanning the space with a beam of light. The functionality of such devices is unlimited. Increases the set of functions – increases the price, so already at the stage of selection it is necessary to know what effects you will need, and what will not be necessary for your room. There are two types of scanners:

• Standard scanner. Provides the movement of the beam due to the reflection from a moving mirror or mirror drum. The minimum set of functions of such a device includes the movement of the beam vertically (up to 90 °) and horizontally (up to 180 °), a minimum of two wheels (color and gobo), strobe effect. The main advantage is the high speed of the beam movement.
• Full motion device (“rotating head”). Similar in function to the standard scanner, but the principle of operation is radically different from it. Beam movement is realized by the device body, which allows the beam to open 360° both vertically and horizontally. The main types of such devices are Spot (a minimum of one gobo wheel is a prerequisite) and Wash (performs the function of both general color filling and the creation of individual scenes).

Additional functions of this type of devices include: various gobo wheels, including rotating, color wheels, including CMY (color mixing), prism, iris, video matrix and much more. Scanners are controlled through the protocol DMX512.

Device light effects. In the professional environment they are jokingly called “durilki”. A huge variety of such devices and their functions do not allow you to divide them into types and subspecies. This type of equipment is convenient to use when constantly moving (corporate parties, weddings, other events). These devices do not require special knowledge and skills, work with the help of sound activation through a built-in microphone. Such devices are installed both stationary on small venues (bars, cafes, restaurants) and on large dance floors, but only as additional effects to the main light set. In this case, a prerequisite for selection is the presence of DMX512 protocol to control this device.

Device flood light. Actually the main component for creating a full-fledged light picture – so to speak, the background, on which are applied painterly strokes. To say something specific to help in the choice of such devices can not be, too many parameters affect even the setting of the task. The only thing I would like to draw attention to is the neglect of many establishments in the need to install such devices. This is a big mistake, and not only design, but also marketing, which we will definitely pay attention to in one of the next articles.

Stroboscope. This is the device without which no dance floor. In addition to the fact that the strobe creates the effect of broken movements, it is also useful at times when you need to emphasize certain moments during the sound of DJ-set or any action on stage and dance floor.

Laser. There is virtually no institution where the device is not used called a laser. Most of these devices, of course, belong to the class of light effects (durilok). Professional lasers are not often seen, but it should be said that in most establishments they do not belong for a number of reasons. Dymymmashin. Generators of smoke, fog, etc. special effects only give the opportunity to properly see the effects of all of the above devices. As an independent unit, such devices will not give the desired effects (we do not take into account generators of heavy smoke). Smoke creates in space canvas with the help of which the rays of devices are visually felt in full.

Ultraviolet. UV lamps create an effect of unusualness in the institution due to the fluorescence of surfaces of cold white color under intense blue light shifted to the uv-area. All white objects and fluorescent inscriptions stand out sharply and create an unusual perspective even in a familiar room.

LED panels. If you want to decorate your institution on the latest word of the show industry, then without these devices can not do without. A variety of models, sizes, brightness allows you to install panels anywhere, as far as imagination allows. With the help of controllers and control system, all LEDs can be combined into a single whole. In this light picture will not be limited to the dance floor and the whole room, starting from the floor, covering tables, columns, bar, and ending with the ceiling will be linked in a single process of unparalleled light show, which will not leave anyone indifferent.
