How to choose a professional projector
Now on the market of projection equipment there is a wide range of projectors for absolutely different tasks. The most popular types are the so-called universal models. They have average characteristics (brightness, image quality) and are suitable for simple tasks (for example, for demonstrating presentations at meetings and business meetings). At the same time they have a fairly low cost.
Many of our customers need more professional equipment for events. The cost of such equipment is an order of magnitude higher, but the possibilities are much more. We have professional projectors, which allow you to solve the tasks in the framework of presentations, conferences, trainings, etc. With their help you can demonstrate video materials for a large audience. However, not everyone knows how to choose the right projector for a large event. Let’s consider what parameters are important to take into account.
What to consider when choosing equipment
To choose the right equipment, we recommend you to carefully study the main characteristics.
All projectors can be divided into two groups:
Stationary. Sufficiently oversized. Suitable for prolonged work. From the minuses we can note the difficult transportation.
Mobile. Have a small weight. Can be easily transferred from place to place. They are the most popular.
Among the main parameters to be taken into account:
- Projection distance of the projector. The larger the projection distance, the larger the image size. All you need to know to decide whether to install a projector or a screen is the projection ratio. For example, if you plan to install a screen with a width of 300 cm, and the projection ratio of the projector is 1.8:1, then the equipment should be placed at a distance of (300*1.8) = 540 cm from the screen.
- Projection distance and projection ratio are important characteristics. If you already know the required image size, you can calculate what the distance from the projector to the screen will be. Or, for example, you know exactly where the projector will be installed. By calculating the projection distance, you will determine where you need to install the screen.
- Brightness. Large screens need projectors with high brightness – from 6000 lumens. This includes all the professional models we offer. They include: Sanyo PLC XF45 (10000 lumens), Sanyo PLC XF 47 (15000 lumens), Barco RLM W14 (14500 lumens), BARCO HDX W18 (17500 lumens), BARCO FLM-HD20 (20000 lumens).
- .
- Resolution. This parameter should correspond to the resolution of the projected video and image. In professional devices the resolution starts from 1024×768 pixels (Sanyo PLC XF45), which is widespread. In addition, it indicates high quality graphics.
