What is pixel pitch?

A pixel is the smallest element that makes up an image. Each pixel is made up of LEDs of three different colors: red, blue, and green. Combinations of these colors with different intensities produce more than 16 million different shades!

Pixel pitch is the distance between the centers of two adjacent pixels. The smaller the distance, the denser the pixels are to each other. A high pixel density helps to achieve greater image clarity and detail.

How to choose the best option for the room?

It is worth noting that the price of the monitor directly depends on the density and pixel pitch: the smaller the pixel pitch and higher the density, the more expensive the screen. In order to determine the pixel pitch, you need to take into account two main points: where the screen will be placed and from what distance viewers will look at it.

LCD panel can be located both indoors and outdoors (under a canopy). If the panel is outside the room, viewers usually look at it from afar – from a distance of 5 meters or more. In this case, a pixel pitch of 3.9 mm is suitable. If it is indoors, viewers come closer, and the distance may be reduced to 1-2 meters. In this case, it is necessary to reduce the pixel pitch to maintain the clarity of the picture at close range. For this option, models with a pixel pitch of 2.6 mm are suitable.

It is also worth noting that video content always requires greater clarity. If it is important for you to see all the fine details in the video, you should also choose a model with a pitch of 2.6 mm.
