Description
Sennheiser E 904< /strong> – a high quality dynamic cardioid microphone. Thanks to its compact design, the microphone is ideal for backing up drums (toms or kicks). It can be easily installed in tight spaces (for example, below cymbals), and the MZH 604 microphone clip makes it easy and precise to attach to the instrument rim. The E904 is also suitable for guitar amplifiers, percussion and brass instruments. The durable all-metal housing effectively protects the microphone from mechanical damage. The XLR connector, rotated by 45°, saves space in the case of angled connectors. Briefly about the advantages:
- Extremely bright, powerful sound taken from percussion and percussion instruments
- The sound can be shaped as needed to suit all styles of music.
- Extremely durable for rough stage use.
- Humbucking coil protects against electromagnetic interference
- Low sensitivity to impacts and contact noise.
- Gold-plated XLR connector (rotated 45°)
- Easy to install.

The Sennheiser E904 instrument microphone can be found in every studio, on every concert venue. Its popularity is very great and it is related to the quality of sound transmission, which is why it is called legendary. The E904 is the successor to the fantastic E604. It’s a great microphone, but it had its flaws. For example, the E604 had a weird spike at 5000Hz that often added a bit of weirdness to the sound. Because of this, E 604 was characterized as “thunderous”. The Sennheiser E904 is less explosive than the E604 and therefore has less “thunderiness”. Instead of the explosiveness of the Sennheiser E604, the E904 is a little warmer and a little more refined, so it has a lower end than the E604. If you look at the frequency graph, you can see a very strange diagram: the diagram looks like it belongs to a condenser microphone!

Sennheiser E904 span> is a great microphone, perhaps not worth beating the “god of thunder”, the E604. Instead, it offers a different, warmer and more penetrating sound. Sennheiser’s attempt to make it a successor to the E604 would have been rather unsuccessful if it hadn’t been for the removal of the odd spike at 5000Hz that the E604 has. So if you’ve got a little more money and want a warmer, less punchy sound, the E904 is a great choice, a workhorse, the choice of professionals around the world!
