Description
Digital mixing console with 40 inputs, 25 buses with 32 Midas programmable preamps, 25 motorized faders with channel LCD displays, 32-channel audio interface and iPad/iPhone control
Intuitive. Immediately. Natural.
X32 is your intelligent audio interface… the intersection of creativity and production. Whether you’re used to digital mixers or not, the X32’s intuitive user interface delivers smooth mixing that feels instant. And then there’s the latest X32 2.0 firmware. The companies have added new scene management and EQ features, including a 100-band real-time analyzer, flexible library import/export capabilities, and faster effects editing. The manufacturers have also included 16 new FX plug-ins that are based on true physical modeling of famous classic audio equipment.
This is the solution you’ve been waiting for.

Motorized faders.
The X32 provides the user with a complete set of 25 long-stroke 100mm motorized faders for mix control. Working in conjunction with the channel LCDs and TFT display, the faders perform a variety of functions to keep you informed at all times. Separate fader sections for inputs and groups/busses allow for easy assignment of inputs to groups/busses. With up to 100 scenes stored, the X32 motorized faders come to life when you recall a scene.

LCD screens.
The X32 automated control panel is designed to give you the control you need, when you need it. There are a total of 29 programmable channel/bus identification LCD screens that display what is being monitored. Use them to enter I/O tags as well as add icons. Then assign colors to create visual groups for immediate operational recognition of input data.
It’s simple, elegant, and effective – plus you’ll never need tape again.

Channel section.
The X32’s Channel Section consolidates the most important channel processing options into one section, so no matter what channel you’re working on, the controls are always the same. This highly efficient layout is the result of decades of BEHRINGER console design and user feedback. Optimized backlighting control ensures that levels and status are clearly displayed from any viewing angle. Illuminated circular encoders and switches provide control over preamplifier settings, frequency shelf, two-way sections, as well as multi-mode fully parametric EQ, bus send, main, mono and stereo panning.

Fader Sends
DCA groups.
DCA (Digital Control Amplifier) groups allow you to control multiple signals simultaneously without actually mixing them into a subgroup bus. The 8 DCA groups in the X32 allow you to control multiple signals with a single fader, such as the entire drum mix, horn section, or backing vocalists, etc.
The DCA control affects the FOH mix while allowing the individual buses to remain unaffected. The result is a highly customizable workflow that maximizes flexibility while still allowing individual busses and subgroups to perform their intended task.

Browse function.
On the X32, you will find 11 conveniently located view buttons associated with various functions. These buttons provide immediate access to information about that particular function. For example, if you press the View button in the EQ section, that channel’s EQ information will instantly appear on the main display, giving you detailed editing of all related parameters. This direct access to visual fine-tuning gives the engineer a level of control previously only available on consoles that cost significantly more.

Assignment section.
While some digital consoles offer a few user-defined controls, the X32’s Assign section sets a new standard by providing a total of 36 fully customizable controls on three separate levels. As with channels and buses, separate screens are provided for immediate identification. The buttons can be used to turn parameters on/off, set effect times with a tap, or navigate to specific settings on the screen. Rotary encoders can be assigned to specific channel parameters or additional parameters in the Dynamics section that are related to the current channel selection.

“Acoustic Integration” – a revolution in live sound.
The legendary 40-year old British company TURBOSOUND, known for producing some of the world’s finest loudspeakers, has teamed up with BEHRINGER to seamlessly integrate mixers and loudspeakers. We call it Acoustic Integration. The X32 ULTRANET bus enables up to 16 channels of pure digital audio to be streamed to a TURBOSOUND iQ speaker array – all over a single CAT5 cable, along with control data for remote sound presetting. In addition, the iQ series features “true physical modeling” of some of the most popular loudspeakers that can be easily controlled by the X32, allowing the sound engineer to use different loudspeaker models in real time without leaving the mixing desk.
“Acoustic integration” is the next frontier of the live sound revolution.

100-band RTA for all channel/bus EQs
16 exciting effects.
The developers have added 16 new FX plug-ins for the X32, giving you access to more than 50 effects that would otherwise cost tens of thousands of dollars in physical hardware. This new generation of high-quality FX plug-ins is based on true physical modeling of classic audio equipment. Engineers essentially “rebuilt” the classic analog transmission in the digital domain and included models of legendary processors such as Urei 1176, Teletronix LA-2A and Fairchild 670 compressors, as well as the legendary Pultec EQP-1a and EQ5 equalizers, etc. A modern 5-band compressor has also been added.
And last but not least: X32 now supports 4 stereo studio-quality reverbs along with 8 channels of 31-band graphic EQ. This allows you to replace your old outboard gear with a fully usable on-board solution.

Enhanced separation and remote control for FOH and monitoring.
The new Gain Split mode separates the channel gain (control) from the master amplifier gain, allowing both the FOH and/or monitor engineer to adjust local control independently of the preamplifier gain.
Additionally, the new HA Gain Remote option allows the console gain to be controlled remotely via an external console, for example when using the X32 RACK as a “stage box”.

More routing and processing flexibility.
Thanks to a recent firmware update, X32 routing is even more flexible. Output signals and XLR outputs are now processed separately, allowing you to route signals from AES50 sources or expansion cards directly to the X32’s analog outputs. For example, you can now use the X32’s RACK outputs to route directly back to a loudspeaker.

Powerful tools for stage and show management.
Introducing Cue List, an innovative way to automate loading scenes and new “snippets” at different times in the show, save your favorite EQ settings for drums on channels 1-8 as a snippet of code that can be recalled instantly as your own preset, completely independent of the overall console scene. It’s like taking a snapshot of a parameter on an input, output, FX slot, bus, matrix, master, or DCA group – and saving it for quick access whenever you need it.

MIDAS preamps.
The X32’s mic preamps, programmable gain controls, and ADCs were designed specifically by the engineering team at MIDAS, a company known for its award-winning mic preamp designs. This patented preamplifier design, conceived as a single integrated system and built on the highest quality analog-to-digital converters, captures every nuance of your input signal for superior audio performance. The gain setting is fully programmable and covers a total range of 72 dB with a resolution accuracy of 0.5 dB per step. The analog input is based on Cirrus Logic multi-channel audiophile-quality analog-to-digital converters with a dynamic range of 114 dB, providing impressively low distortion and low noise.
The MIDAS preamplifier ensures the highest signal integrity.

Extensibility.
Every X32 comes with all the connectivity, I/O and functionality you need right out of the box – but it doesn’t stop there. Built-in USB 2.0 connectivity provides full audio and MIDI channel access to your DAW. Integrated multi-channel digital audio interfaces connect to remote stage boxes and/or the P16 personal monitor system. Built-in Ethernet control allows remote control from your computer, iPad or iPhone via wired or wireless network, across the room or across the globe!
